Intercultural communication

Intercultural communication has always existed along with multilingualism. Both phenomena took and take place due to different kinds of contacts including economic, political, family, business, etc kinds of contact. Any kind of contact (even military ones) leads to the exchange of information which may be of any kind depending on the kind of contact and enriching both languages with corresponding lexical stratum.
When dealing in civil situations, people often have to hold negotiations and that is a great engine for learning the language of opposite side. It was present at the negations in the ancient Greek, Roman and Egyptian sides and present around the current moment.
Needless to say that nowadays intercultural communication is developing at greater speed than ever before due to the modern technical communication mediums including telephone, satellite, Internet, mass media and so on. There is a considerable volume of information of absolutely different origin which is resent globally. This information is so abundant and massive that scholars need a lot of time to study and systematize all these data. As a result, intercultural communication (multilingualism) is impeded and takes on lesser pace. Indeed, modern world is the world of information. And to set it in order, we need globalization and modernization of infrastructure of all the world to overcome multilingual difficulties. We've discussed the problem of English being the leading computing language and what hardships it creates in its turn.
As a consequence of intercultural communication that lasted for several centuries, several regions are multilingual nowadays. We've tackled the problems as well having brought some instances: India, Switzerland, Canada, etc. Naturally, this state of things has developing for many years and finally brought to the way state systems we face now.
